Kris Lori Fuentes Cortes (she/her/they/them), known professionally as Kris Lori, is a queer Chilean-American photographer and poet; born and raised in Boston. In 2011, Kris moved to Chicago to further develop her photographic work, there she built a strong creative community and became the house photographer for two prominent music venues: Thalia Hall and Bottom Lounge.

Her work spans live music, portraiture, and editorial photography, with images published in publications including Chicago Magazine, Chicago Sun-Times, and Forbes India. Today, Kris works nationally with clients across music, culture, and live events, and has partnered with organizations and companies including Goldenvoice, Another Planet Entertainment, and Global Citizen.

In 2019, Kris relocated to California to begin a new chapter and now resides in San Francisco, where she continues to deepen her creative practice on the West Coast.

Alongside her photography, Kris advocates for mental health awareness and actively supports Latin community initiatives and Latin artists. Outside of her visual practice, she is currently working on self-publishing her first book of poetry.
